Everyone knows Tel Aviv as the ‘Silicon Wadi’ for the high concentration of tech companies. However, throughout Israel there are several startup and tech hubs. For the past 3 years, you can see the continuing growth of the tech scene in Be’er Sheva, called the Capital City of the Negev, luring such companies as CyberArk, Dell EMC, and Wix.com. This upward trend led Israel Tech Challenge High-Tech Academy to offer its coding and data science programs there. This upcoming March 15, 2021, graduates from all over the country, but especially the Negev, can start learning relevant skills in demand in the global high-tech world and practice them locally in Be’er Sheva.

In Israel, there is still a shortage of over 20,000 tech talents. Even during this Pandemic the salaries for data scientists and programmers in Israel remain high. Thanks to Ben-Gurion University and Sami Shamoon college of engineering and local initiatives, there is no shortage of tech innovative ideas and STEM-minded people in the Negev.
